Taylor Veinotte Sullivan is proud to be a major supporter of a very special organization called the Team Finn Foundation. The foundation is named after TVS partner Patrick Sullivanʼs son, Finn, who was diagnosed with a rare form of pediatric cancer at the age of 20 months. For just over 3 years, Finn underwent 30 radiation treatments, multiple surgeries, a year of chemotherapy and over 70 anaesthetic administrations. As difficult a medical journey as it was, through it all, Finn continued to run, jump, bounce, dance, sing, smile and love. This same inexorable spirit imbues Team Finn and inspires us to live his example to make the most of every day.
Since its inception in 2008, Team Finn has raised almost two million dollars for pediatric cancer research and has grown from a few individuals to hundreds of supporters - a testament to the enduring strength of Finnʼs story.
The Foundationʼs signature fundraising events include the Ride to Conquer Cancer, a 200+ km bike ride from Vancouver to Seattle, and Pajama Day, a grass roots initiative that takes place at schools throughout the lower mainland. Team Finn also participates in the Canuck Place Adventure Challenge, among other events.
Finn continues to touch others and "Finnspire" them to do remarkable things. While Finnʼs story has made people cry, his more important legacy is to remind people to smile, to laugh and to live.
